23rd INTER-UNIT TRUST BOWLING TOURNAMENT: STRENGTHENING BONDS BEYOND THE LANES
Kuala Lumpur, 15 November 2025 – PMB United, the Sports & Recreational Club under Pelaburan MARA Berhad, successfully hosted the 23rd Inter-Unit Trust Bowling Tournament 2025 at Wangsa Bowl, Wangsa Walk.
The event brought together 31 teams comprising 124 participants from unit trust companies, asset management firms, and other leading organizations. This year also saw strong participation from the media fraternity, represented by six teams with 24 participants.
The tournament was officiated by En. Mohd Adzhar Abdul Hamed, Chief Operating Officer of Pelaburan MARA Berhad. Also present were En. Mahdzir Othman, Group Chief Executive Officer, Pelaburan MARA Berhad, En. Hang Tuah Amin Tajudin, Chief Executive Officer, PMB Investment Berhad; En. Taha Rusydi Mohd Nazri, Head of Strategic Communications, Pelaburan MARA Berhad; and En. Mohd Isyazwan Fauzi, President of PMB United.
In his opening remarks, En. Mohd Adzhar emphasized the importance of fostering strong relationships within the unit trust industry beyond business engagements.
“This tournament is more than just a sporting event — it reflects our industry’s commitment to building meaningful relationships, promoting work-life balance, and strengthening a cohesive professional community. It provides a valuable platform for us to step away from our daily responsibilities and connect with colleagues and partners in a relaxed, spirited environment. The bonds we strengthen here today contribute to a more collaborative and resilient unit trust industry,” he said.
The tournament’s success was made possible through the generous support of 13 sponsors, including Phillip Capital, Zaibi Motor, City University Malaysia, Maybank Investment, TA Securities, BIMB Securities, Kenanga Investment, AmanahRaya Trustees, Hong Leong Investment, and other members of the Pelaburan MARA Group.
In the spirited match, Team CIMB XXX03 emerged as the Overall Champion in the team category with 2020 pinfalls, the first runner-up position was won by Team SME Bank B with 2005 pinfalls, while third place went to Team CIMB XXX01 with 2004 pinfalls.
In the men's individual category, Anuar Bin Jasmin from Team RHB Bowlers won first place with 569 pinfalls, while the women's individual category was won by Rosnani Binti Daud from team Pelaburan MARA Berhad with 600 pinfalls.
The media category witnessed an exciting contest, where Masuk TV Bowlers (TV3 Media Prima) emerged as the champion, followed by NST Sharper Bowl (New Straits Times) as first runner-up and Golek Squad (Malaysia Gazette) as second runner-up. Rev Team (Rev Media Bhd) placed fourth, Utusan Malaysia (Media Mulia) came fifth, while Flash Squad (Malaysia Gazette) secured sixth place.
