Dato’ Julainie bin Mohd Salleh was appointed to the Board of Pelaburan MARA on 12 September 2022.
He is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer at MARA Corporation Sdn Bhd (MARA Corp), the holding company of Pelaburan MARA. Dato’ Julainie is a member of Malaysian Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and brings with him extensive working experience in Corporate Restructuring, Business Financial and Operational Management in various fields ranging from banking and financial institutions, plantation, property and construction, oil and gas, hospitality and others.
Prior to MARACorp, he was the Director of Corporate and Business Strategy Division at Padiberas Nasional Bhd (Bernas) which he joined in 2018 and was responsible in the turnaround process that saw increased profitability for the group of companies under Bernas.
Dato’ Julainie also previously served as Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) and Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO) at UDA Holdings Sdn Bhd of which the Group achieved its best ever financial performance in 2015. His earlier working stint also included being the Senior Vice President of Business and Financial Advisory at Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC), GCFO/GCOO at UiTM Holdings Sdn Bhd and the Group Financial Controller at Impiana Hotel Group of Companies.
Dato’ Julainie obtained his Bachelor in Accounting at the University of Hull, England after attended his A-Levels at Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK). He received his secondary education at Sekolah Menengah Sains Muar, Johor and English College in Johor Bharu.
