Hajah Norleza binti Abu Bakar brings over 28 years of experience in Islamic and Conventional banking. She has held prominent roles in esteemed organizations, specializing in Corporate Investment Banking, Islamic Capital Markets, and Project Financing. Her ability to navigate the complexities of the banking sector and drive strategic growth sets her apart as a respected leader in the industry.
Prior to joining PMB Tijari, Hajah Norleza actively contributed to academia and served as a board member and chaired various committees at Universiti Malaysia Perlis, and was appointed as an Adjunct Professor and “Subject Matter Expert” at DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia.
Throughout her career, Puan Hajah Norleza had worked with notable organizations such as Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad as the Vice President 1 & Head of, Corporate Banking Department, MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad as a Director of Corporate Investment Banking Department, Al Rajhi Investment and Banking Corporation (Malaysia) Berhad as Head of Investment Banking Department and Utama Merchant Bankers Berhad as the Assistant General Manager, Capital Markets Department as well as a Senior Manager in the Corporate Development Department / CEO's Office.
She holds a Master Degree in Islamic Banking and Finance and a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from the University of Portsmouth, UK. In addition, she is the holder of the Capital Markets Services Representative's License - Advising on Corporate Finance activities with the Securities Commission of Malaysia and was an Employee Registered Person on the regulated activities with Bank Negara Malaysia.
