The corporate contributions and business zakat were presented by the Chairman of Pelaburan MARA Group, Dato’ Mohamad Razali Mohamad Rahim.
Pelaburan MARA’s subsidiary, PMB Tijari Berhad (PMB Tijari), contributed business zakat amounting to RM30,000.00 to Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) Ulul Albab. The contribution was received by the Director General of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Dato’ Zulfikri Osman.
In addition, business zakat amounting to RM3,000.00 was presented to the Deputy Chairman of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia (PERKIM), Tuan Haji Miswan Samori.
Furthermore, business zakat sponsorships for iftar and duit raya for asnaf children under Pertubuhan Kebajikan Asnaf Al Barakh Malaysia, totalling more than RM13,000.00, were contributed by PMB Tijari, PMB Analytics Sdn Bhd (PMB Analytics), and the PMB United Sports and Welfare Club.
Additionally, Pelaburan MARA Berhad (Pelaburan MARA), together with four of its subsidiaries, PMB Investment Berhad (PMB Investment), PMB Tijari, PMB Analytics, and PMB Sustainable Sdn Bhd (PMB Sustainable), contributed a corporate donation of RM10,000.00 to the organisation’s Welfare Fund Bureau represented by Encik Muhammad Shah Hazdan Abdul Aziz, to support the organisation’s operational and maintenance needs.
Also present at the event were the Group Chief Executive Officer of Pelaburan MARA, Encik Mahdzir Othman, MARA management, members of the Board of Directors, and staff of the Pelaburan MARA Group.
According to Dato’ Razali, the Iftar event was part of the programme lineup organised in conjunction with MARA’s 60th anniversary, celebrated on 1 March. “The number 60 is not merely a milestone, but reflects MARA’s enduring commitment to advancing entrepreneurship, education, and investment to strengthen Bumiputera equity participation over the past six decades. In line with this purpose, the Pelaburan MARA Group will continue to support MARA’s agenda and aspirations in uplifting the nation and its people.”
He added that the Pelaburan MARA Group remains committed to implementing its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including efforts focused on strengthening community development, empowering knowledge, and supporting environmental preservation and conservation.
“As a corporate group under MARA Corporation, the Pelaburan MARA Group is also committed to supporting government agencies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in initiatives that contribute towards achieving shared objectives,” Dato’ Razali said.
