Mahani Ibrahim has more than 20 years of experience in credit and business risk evaluation as well as investment bank products. She began her career in the banking and financial services industry at the Pacific Bank Berhad as credit officer. She continued her service with AmInvestment Bank Berhad as Associate Director – Corporate Banking/Corporate Investment Banking (1997 -2006) involving building relationship with large corporates and listed companies in various industries (plantation, property, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing) with main concentration on Johor state government linked companies and Johor based large corporates liaising mainly with clients’ top management and board of directors.
In 2007, Mahani joined RHB Investment Bank Berhad, Kuala Lumpur as Vice President – Corporate Investment Banking until 2009 before leaving to accept the post of Director – Financial Institutions Group at AmInvestment Bank Berhad, KL in 2010.
Later she went on to serve OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad as Vice President – Debt Market & Syndications, Global Investment Banking (2013 – 2017) where she played a crucial role in identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with various parties in Ministry of Finance (“MoF”) and the relevant subsidiaries of MoF for the OCBC Group.
Mahani went on to join Pelaburan MARA Berhad as Director Institutional Sales, Fund & Analytics in Dec 2017. Within the Group, she had also served as the Head, Strategic Sales of PMB Investment, the Acting Chief Operating Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer for PMB Investment. Pursuant to the Securities Commission’s approval on 1 October 2021, she is currently the Chief Executive Officer of PMB Investment.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA.
